I
served as Pastor and missionary for twelve years in
Bolivia, South America, with the Worldwide Missionary
Movement (1981-1993). During that period, I traveled
as preacher, teacher and lecturer to several South American
countries: Chile, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay,
Colombia and Brazil. I also served for four years (1993-1997)
as a Pastor with the Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Since 1998, I have
being serving as a United Methodist Church minister
in New Jersey: Elizabeth, Perth Amboy, Kearny and Linden.
I truly enjoy serving in settings where cultural diversity
is present.
I
am married to Rina Lopez whom I met in Bolivia. We are
raising two girls: Alejandra and Gina. My wife, Rina
is a Spanish Language and Literature instructor at Drew
University. We live in Elizabeth, New Jersey, with the
blessed company of my mother-in-law, Rebeca, and my
sister-in-law, Giovanna.
I enjoy jazz, sports and walking my dog, Fiona, a six
years old Basenji.
Yours
in Christ,
Rev. Dr. Ricardo Ramos-Diaz
